At around 2:20 PM on Wednesday, October 4th, every TV, radio, and cell phone is going to sound an alert with a “unique tone and vibration.” If we had to guess (the article does not say) we’d say this will happen regardless of if the phone is on Do Not Disturb or silent mode. For middle school staff, if you‘re teaching at that time you might want to ask your students to turn their phones completely off before the test begins.
