Subject: Sunday Maintenance
In order to apply timely security patches and perform necessary infrastructure upgrades the Wayne RESA networking/server team needs to have an entire Sunday available every quarter. School district staff should be prepared for the complete outage of all data services on Sunday January 24 between 8 AM and 4 PM. A major upgrade is planned for a core network switch that will interrupt Internet service to and from your school district. This upgrade is needed to ensure reliable and robust network performance for upcoming on line testing. Every effort will be made to shorten the maintenance window as much as possible with other planned work deferred to the April date.
