In order to apply timely security patches and perform necessary infrastructure upgrades the Wayne RESA networking/server team needs to have an entire Sunday available every quarter. School district staff should be prepared for the complete outage of all services on one Sunday every quarter between 8 AM and 4 PM. Sunday, April 14, 2019 is the last of their four scheduled maintenance days the 18-19 school year.

Certainly, in-district network services will be impacted by this outage as will access both in and out of district to MiStar, Moodle, HelpDesk and all other WR hosted services.

As noted above, Wayne RESA staff will also be upgrading the Jira Help Desk.  They advise that users should not use the HelpDesk during this upgrade period, even if it appears available.  It may be up and down several times throughout the day while they perform the upgrade and some maintenance tasks. It might also be the case that should a ticket be submitted during this period it won’t be properly processed so please refrain from using the Help Desk system on Sunday during those hours.
