Subject: MISTAR Interruption – Internet ONLY

MISTAR Users —

This afternoon, just before 12:30 PM, one of the primary addresses for MISTAR (sisweb.resa.net) was the subject of Distributed Denial of Server (DDoS) attack from an unknown origin on the Internet. This attack forced our network team to hide the address for all Internet users, but did NOT impact users in local districts. Therefore, users attempting to connect from home or other public Internet access points were unable to connect to MISTAR during this attack.

The attack was complete and service was resolved by 4:25 PM Tuesday.

We are in the process of acquiring services to minimize potential attacks in the future. We apologize for the interruption and inconvenience.

Please let me know if you need more details.
