UPDATE: Canvas reports on their status page they have resolved the issue; successfully logging into their service is no longer an issue.
If you are trying to log into Canvas you might not be able to do so at this time. Some users may receive page errors when attempting to accessing Canvas or experience general slowness within the site since our service is hosted in an impacted region.
