The Common Core is a set of high-quality academic standards in mathematics and English language arts/literacy (ELA). The standards were created to ensure that all students graduate from high school with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college, career, and life, regardless of where they live.

Tech Connection to Classroom: Common core standards are embedded with all lessons, due to this, most if not all technologies have a common core connection. Ex: For displaying standards use a program such as Smart Notebook Software to not only have them typed out, but audio recorded as well for English Language Learners and low readers.
