Summative Assessment

Summative assessments are used to evaluate student learning, skill acquisition, and academic achievement at the conclusion of a defined instructional period—typically at the end of a project, unit, course, semester, program, or school year.

Tech Connection to Classroom: Use Google Forms as a quiz and assess how students have progressed in a particular subject/unit.

Streaming

Tech Connection to Classroom: Youtube is a great learning tool when used correctly. Use youtube to help solidify a learning goal.

Socio-Emotional

Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

Tech Connection to Classroom: Keep a behavior/feeling chart in Google sheets to document how a student is doing. Students can also use this for self-management.

Social Media

Forms of electronic communication (such as websites for social networking and microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content (such as videos)

Tech Connection to Classroom: Use Seesaw to teach some of the soft skills of how to use social media in a safe manner.
